by professional consultants that take a holistic approach to the understanding
and appreciation of landscape. These Assessments are models of clarity and
precise treatment. The analyses are presented with a view to conserving,
restoring and improving the character of each area. They approach the task
from all possible angles, looking at geology and topography, ecology, vegetation,
population, agriculture, industry, architecture, history, development, perception
and even art and literature. Each report is between 30 and 50 pages long,
and each is extremely well presented in A4 format with many illustrations
in the form of maps, colour photos, and drawings.
